About Greytsounds
Greytsounds began in 1988 due to a growing demand for sounds and product support that was not being met by the manufacturers of the various digital samplers and synths on the market at the time. However, our background begins well before 1988.
Bob previously worked for International Music Co. (sole distributors of AKAI Professional products in the U.S.A.) as well Alesis in the Keyboard Division. Prior to that. He worked in one of L.A.'s busiest music stores, in the keyboard department selling keyboards to many top recording artists at that time. He has also done extensive session work in the L.A. area, consisting of custom sampling, synthesizer programming, sequencing and MIDI trouble-shooting.
He has worked with and designed custom sounds for such artists as Mick Jagger, Dave Stewart, Dave Mason, Stephen Stills, Gabriel Katona (Starship), David Kahne (CBS Records), Gary Malliber (Steve Miller Band), Jason Bonham, Julian Lennon, Mark Hart and Richard Davies (Supertramp), the Commodores, 'Weird' Al Yankovic, Gorky Park, Coverdale/Page, David Lee Roth and the Smashing Pumpkins. Bob received many album credits and several gold and platinum record awards resulting from his sound design and engineering work.
